Processing of pelagic fish

Processing of pelagic fish
Processing of pelagic fish includes packing and freezing fish in cartons. We emphasize the importance of quality control from the moment the fish leaves the cargo hold until it is delivered to the customer.

When the fish has been packed into cartons, it is put into a tunnel freezer and flash-frozen at -30C. All our freezers are equipped with monitoring systems which allow the temperature and storage conditions to be checked at any given time. The pelagic factory produces between 40 and 50 tons per hour from boat to freezer during normal production conditions.
